Erie 2 BOCES offers a variety of resources for teachers to use when they are creating lessons and activities.
The structure of the service is quite simple:
If you enter a subject you want to find information on in the search bar, hit "Search," and start looking through the results for material you'd like to use. The search function pulls information from all the sources available through the Media Center and compiles the list for you in one place. As you look at each of the results you will see a brief summary of the resources including:
The type of resource (video, image, document)
Appropriate Grade Level
Length of resources
Publisher
Year of Production
All you need to do is click on the resource's "View on" feature and you will be taken directly to that resource on the hosting site.
There is also a feature called "I Want it All." Clicking this button will give you a listing of all the material available through the media center. There is a series of filters located along the right side of the page which will allow you to pare down the list of results to make your search easier if you select this option.
There is also a "Go to Advanced Search" feature which still searches all of the resources, but allows you to pre-fill search criteria to narrow the results to the content which is most appropriate to your subject area and grade level.
